The Daiichi Fine Chemical Division is a new department of KYOWA HAKKO EUROPE GmbH. As a consequence of the acquisition of DAIICHI FINE CHEMICAL CO., LTD., Japan by KYOWA HAKKO BIO CO., LTD., Japan, a re-structured European entity has been established resulting from the merger of DAIICHI FINE CHEMICAL EUROPE GmbH and KYOWA HAKKO EUROPE GmbH.
We provide the European market with fine chemicals for the cosmetic, pharmaceutical and food industry (supplements) since 1989, at that time still as a subsidiary of the traditional Japanese pharmaceutical company DAIICHI PHARMACEUTICAL CO., LTD.
In October 2001 intensive structural changes within the Daiichi Group led to the foundation of DAIICHI FINE CHEMICAL CO., LTD., Tokyo/Japan as the new parent company of DAIICHI FINE CHEMICAL EUROPE GMBH., Düsseldorf.
Since 1946 our former parent company’s factory, now our affiliated company DAIICHI FINE CHEMICAL CO., LTD., produces in Japan active pharmaceutical ingredients and intermediates for the pharmaceutical industry as well as fine chemicals.
In September 2005 DAIICHI PHARMACEUTICAL CO., LTD., merged with SANKYO, becoming DAIICHI SANKYO CO., LTD. In the course of this merger KYOWA HAKKO KOGYO CO., LTD., actually KYOWA HAKKO BIO Co., LTD., acquired in April 2007 DAIICHI FINE CHEMICAL CO., LTD./Japan including our European subsidiary.
KYOWA HAKKO BIO CO., LTD., is a research company with extensive know-how about biotechnology, being one of the world’s leading manufacturers of fermented bulk products like amino and nucleic acids.
From our centrally located head office in Düsseldorf we are marketing high quality products from the DAIICHI company group and partner companies throughout Europe, Middle East and Africa.
